Meet Colombe La Nouvelle & You: Colombe

Colombe, a 17-year-old high school student, tells us about her experience with La Nouvelle. 

Gentle, curious and determined, she happily took up the challenge of taking part in our shoot.

Why did you agree to do this shoot?

Out of curiosity. To experience and discover something new.

Which pieces are you wearing in the shoot?

I’m wearing a black set, the Adèle comfort bra with the high-rise briefs. It fits my body shape and figure well.

What are you looking for when it comes to lingerie? Comfort, support or sexiness?

Comfort is important. The Adèle comfort bra is very comfortable to wear, much more comfortable than a bra with underwiring. I also like that you can see it. The straps are not just for support, they’re also an accessory that you want to be on show.

Did anyone give you advice when it came to discovering women’s lingerie?

My grandmother. I often wear her bras, the ones she wore when she was my age, with lace and vintage designs. My mother also lends me her La Nouvelle bras.

What does femininity mean to you?

It’s something that each of us experiences in our own way. There are many ways of being feminine, such as wearing different kinds of things.

The materials we use to make our bras are sourced with great care, as part of our eco-friendly approach. Is that important to you?

Yes. In these times, it’s very important. It all comes down to us now, and there’s a lot at stake. I would rather buy a piece of clothing that’s been made in an ethical and sustainable way than one that causes pollution and comes from who knows where…
